01 · Held in April 2026

Five days around one long table.

AI Workation took place in April 2026 at Šťastná Samota. People from AI, product and code, their own projects, a grill and a fire. This is how it went.

Connect. Chill. Create.
02 · What it was

Not a conference, not a bootcamp.

It was a week where we took the whole estate for ourselves. Nobody had a minute-by-minute schedule. Whoever wanted to build, built. Whoever wanted to sit by the fire and talk, sat by the fire.

Turns out that is exactly what works.

03 · What a day looked like

No agenda. The day had its own rhythm.

Every day looked different and somehow the same. Nobody pushed anyone, and still people finished things they had been putting off for months.

01
Morning

Coffee outside by the grill. Some already had a laptop open, others were just getting up. Nobody made a thing of it.

02
Late morning

The long table in the living room filled up. Vibe coding, agents, sites and apps. When someone got stuck, they turned the screen to the person next to them.

03
Afternoon

It alternated: a bit of work, a bit of garden, a bit of foosball. The best ideas landed by the pool, not in the editor.

04
Evening

Grill, dinner together, fire. This is where collaborations were agreed that outlasted the week.

01

Real building, not theory

People left with finished things, not with notes from a talk.

02

A group that clicked

Fifteen people who saw each other from morning to night for five days. You cannot buy that at a one-day event.

03

The whole estate to ourselves

Eight thousand square metres, eight rooms, a barn, a pool and a fire pit. No sharing with another group.

05 · What came out of it

This is what five days produced.

None of it was on the agenda. There was no agenda — that is why it happened.

Built on site
01

A booking system from a dictated AI brief — finished and sold within hours.

02

Live feedback on your own product, from people in the field.

03

Collaborations agreed and an investment offer — in passing, by the grill.

In a few hours we got through work that would otherwise have taken us a week. We processed our quotes and a lot of new ideas came out of it.

What people said
An amazing place, and I have to say I went there without big expectations, mostly to relax — and drove home with a head full of ideas and inspiration.

06 · Where it was

Šťastná Samota, not a hotel.

A carefully restored 1787 estate — history on the outside, modern comfort inside. We had the whole place exclusively to ourselves.

We cooked and grilled ourselves, with a fire in the evening. The communal setup was the point from the start, and that is exactly what worked best.

The estate
  • Braštice 9, Vrchotovy Janovice — an hour from Prague via the D1
  • The whole estate exclusively for us
  • 8 rooms, en-suite bathrooms
  • The barn — event space, sound system, bar
  • 8,000+ m² — pool, fire pit, pétanque
  • WiFi throughout, parking and an EV wallbox
Anyone expecting hotel service would have been in the wrong place.
